Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will responsible to establish a geological modelling capacity in Thiess Indonesia, providing effective exploration, mine planning services and technical support for tender preparation and existing operations; Provide reconciliation reports and recoverable reserve status of quantity and quality, report on model variances; Prepare geological models/data as required and actively communicate unexpected occurrences of faults, partings, pinch and swell, and similar geological disturbances; Provide Model documentation report; Due diligence on geological models; Geological Mapping, survey control, quality sampling, washability testing, yield analysis; Downhole geophysical logging, interpretation of geophysical logs, seam correlation
To be successful in this role you will need to have a minimum Degree in Geology with Minimum of 2 year experiences as Geologist & 2 years professional experience in large open cut mining and mine engineering Pratama” Certification - Mine and Energy Department - preferred; Mining heavy industry experience is essential. You should have Outstanding proficiency in geological modeling and mine planning (Mincom) and other general office software (Microsoft); Mining Principles, Mine design concepts and mining methods; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English/Bahasa; An awareness of mine operation regulatory, willing to travel to sites, hard worker, honest and computer literacy.
